Bringing Norway's most popular IP alive in immersive and themed race with Rogue Rides trackless ride system
Hunderfossen Eventyrpark, in the Olympic city of Lillehammer, is known as the Fairytale Park, and is one of Norway’s most popular tourist attractions. The new dark ride Rally Flåklypa completes their themed area around Norway's famous inventor Reodor Felgen and his friends, featured in a series of successful animation movies. The ride is the perfect example of combining traditional elements that fit the Norwegian style of the park with advanced technologies and a popular IP for all ages.
Surprising and immersive race experience
BoldMove Nation led the full ride concept, theming development, and supplied the Rogue Rides trackless vehicles. The dark ride was fit into an existing building, requiring a smart ride layout and concept with optimum use of available space and ceiling heights. The result is a compact but very immersive and fun attraction that feels much bigger than it actually is. Park guests can engage in an exciting race from Paris to the Pyramids, created through a combination of smart technologies, immersive storytelling and 3D decoration.

Racing through Norway's most iconic animated universe
Guests enter the world of inventor Reodor Felgen and his legendary Il Tempo Gigante race car. An automated preshow, complete with roll-up screens and authentic film props, sets the stage before riders enter the boarding station. Themed trackless vehicles sync with giant media screens to create a seamless, immersive race experience from Paris to the Alps, and the Egyptian desert. An augmented reality car reveal and pitstop scene deliver surprise moments, while a 7-meter race car replica sends guests off with a lasting memory. At the grand finale guests triumph over the other race contenders and are welcomed with joyful cheering. Guests exit the ride via the highly themed Paris-environment and ice parlour, where they can admire the giant race car once again.
Synchronized media and vehicle movements
The attraction combines advanced ride and media technologies to create a seamless racing experience. BoldMove’s Rogue Rides trackless vehicles are precisely synchronised with the media content, allowing vehicle movements and special effects to work together as one immersive journey. The experience is fully controlled by the proprietary Kamino show control platform, which automates the preshow and ride sequence while synchronising movement, media and spatial audio. Each vehicle is equipped with 21 onboard speakers, delivering powerful surround sound and vibration effects that enhance the experience. Additional features, including 3D scenery and augmented reality elements, further blur the line between the physical and digital worlds.
